Because of Sabang or Weh island is a small island which separate from Sumatra island, so to reach that place usually people to go there by sea from Banda Aceh with quick boat or Ferry. Quick boat depart from Banda Aceh takes a time around 45 minutes, meanwhile Ferry takes a time around 2 hours.

Geographically, Sabang is located between 95° 13` 02" and 95° 22` 36" East Latitude, and between 05° 46` 28" and 05° 54` 28" North Latitude. On 70s to 80s, Sabang was well-known as free harbour which means everything that come from abroad is free of tax. After all, Free Harbour and Sabang Free Trading was began on 2004 to 2006.
Many people come from outside to Sabang for trading or spend their holiday because Sabang is populer with its beautiful beach. Sabang is administrative area and located in very west Indonesia, and bordered with neighbor countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and India. Sabang is surrounded by Malacca Strait in the north, Hindia Ocean in the south, Malacca Strait in the east and Hindia Ocean in the west. Sabang is consist of 5 (five) islands, which are Weh Island (121 km2), Rubiah Island (0,357km2), Seulako Island (0,055 km2), Klah Island (0,186 km2) and Rondo Island (0,650 km2).
Beside that, Sabang has deep sea harbour so, big cargo ship like Mother Ship can be pulled down here, the location is also very strategic for traffic from Europe, Arabian and other countries to Asia. Also it has beautiful beach as tourism object.
